Laurel Oaks of South Haven provides comprehensive memory care to those with varying degrees of dementia or cognitive decline. When you or someone you love is dealing with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia, you want the best possible treatment.
With a 1:7 staffing ratio, our staff to patient ratio exceeds that required by the State of Michigan for assisted living facilities. The members of our resident care team receive ongoing training by qualified nurses, as well as inservices dealing with specific age-related issues such as Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Psychological Care, Infection Control, and Medication Monitoring and Administration.

Each private studio or one-bedroom residence features an open floor plan with a refrigerator and sink, living room, bedroom (one-bedroom) with closet, and a spacious bathroom featuring a large roll-in shower. In addition, Laurel Oaks of South Haven residents enjoy:

Base care provides the essentials needed to enjoy life to its fullest when transitioning to memory care. The following base care is included for Laurel Oaks of South Haven residents:
- Medication administration

- Denture care
- Brushing hair, and similar grooming needs
- Snacks and water delivery
- Laundry services
We also accommodate specialized diets for CHF, Diabetes, and Gluten Free. In addition, we can provide mechanical soft, pureed, thickened liquids, etc. as each resident requires.
